Proceeds

Under the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act 2009, Police and the Asset Recovery Unit can apply for restraining and forfeiture orders over property they believe to be the proceeds of crime — even without a criminal conviction. These proceedings can move fast, and the consequences of not acting promptly can be severe. Sam has extensive experience in the High Court in this area, including:
Opposing and responding to restraining orders
Applications for relief on behalf of affected parties
Representing clients at examination orders
Corresponding and negotiating with the Asset Recovery Unit
