Meet Sam Teppett

Career & Experience

Sam commenced his legal career as an Employed Barrister for a prominent Defence Lawyer. In this role Sam assisted with the defence of serious and high profile cases across New Zealand. He was then employed by the Crown Solicitor for Auckland for a number of years, gaining Senior Crown Classification before moving to the independent bar. While employed by the Crown Solicitor he acted for a number of government entities, prosecuted all types of cases before Judges and juries, and appeared on behalf of the Crown as the respondent on appeals in the Court of Appeal. Since moving to the independent bar Sam has acted for clients charged with murder, serious drug offending, money laundering, and alleged sexual offending at both jury and Judge alone trials.

Sam remains a member of the Crown Solicitor's panel and is also a member of the Serious Fraud Office's Prosecution Panel.
